Folks enjoying our crafts.

Wow!...It was our very best event ever!!!...we raised $2000.00. The money will be given to the Trustee's to be used for new ceiling tiles in our social room. The craft guild has undertaken renovating this room as we raise the money.

We have raised more money at our Christmas events, but this one was the best...why???...because the room was filled with love, laughter and the presence of the Holy Spirit! It was felt by everyone who entered the room!

The mission of the Craft Guild Imagineer's is to bring people together in Christ's Love.
It has been since we organized. If you talk about someone, you speak of them in love. We are to set ourselves as an example to others in our christian behavior. Although we slip at times, one of our christian sisters, puts us back on path. We are a very happy group, we enjoy each other so much and we even fit in time for our crafts. We invite anyone to join us and see what you are missing!

A very, Very, Special "THANK YOU", to our Chef and Craft Guild member, Khris Lehman!
Khris decorated and set up our luncheon tables, which were gorgeous! Lace place mats, glass goblets, fresh flowers and all! Each person who ordered hot tea, was served with a very special teapot. The folks LOVED the cream of corn chowder and cream of cauliflower soups. Made by Khris. Also "Thanks" to all our girls who donated food for the luncheon and the bake sales. The girls are totally devoted to this guild.

We also want to thank Richard Quinley, our newest honorary member. Richard helped us prepare lunch and served as a waiter. He not only looked great but did a super job! We hope he can join us at future events! Thank You Richard!

To everyone who supported us with baked goods, and items for our event, we "Thank You"!
Your support and encouragement are very important to us.

We were all "Dogged tired" by the end of the weekend but not too tired to "brainstorm" for our next event!

Our BIG Announcement!!!!

We are having a "Christmas in July" event on Saturday, July 25th! This is a one day event only! We will be selling all of our inventory at REDUCED prices. We have sooo much stock, that we need to clear out our crafts to make room for new items that we will make for our Christmas Bazaar. You won't want to miss this event! We will also be serving a "picnic style" lunch. The menu will be announced later!

IN ADDITION:
We are trying something new for our Christmas Bazaar. This too will be a one day event! It will be held on Friday, December 4th. It will be held from 8 am to 8 pm with lunch and dinner served. Mark your calendar for both of these upcoming events.

The Guild has voted to hold a Yard Sale in October to coincide with the Youth Fellowship Group's "all You Can Eat Breakfast". We ask that you start setting aside unwanted clean and unbroken items. This event can only be a success with your help. Please do NOT bring them to church until we ask you to. The date will be announced later!

Stay tuned...
because something is always
happening at Bethany Church!!!

.
Our Easter Bazaar is Friday, April 3RD, 9 am to 2 pm and Saturday, April 4Th, 8 am to 2 pm. Are we ready!...Yes! We have been very busy making all sorts of Easter and Spring time crafts.

The first 2 pictures, you will see a vegetable and flower seed packet birdhouses. These will make great gifts for anyone for an Easter, Birthday or Mother's Day gift and will only be a few dollars each. You are giving someone a "garden". The recipient simply takes apart the birdhouse and separates the packets...each packet is filled with seeds! What a cute and useful gift!

Next is just one of our selection of Easter plates. Use them to make an Easter nest, or for cookies, etc. And if you want a bunny basket, we have them too! So adorable for the little ones.

We have a one of a kind "seed box" filled with spring flowers and a candle light. And a tea cup, perfect for Mom, filled with lilies of the Valley and pearls.

Last but not least, this is just one of our very special Easter wreaths to choose from. We can't show you everything, so you'll just have to come to see it all!

We just made our Peanut butter balls, raisin clusters and peanut clusters. We will have lemon and orange "bark", made with white chocolate and more!

Plan to check out our bake shop too! Lots of great homemade baked goods made by our Bethany Bakers. And that's not all...we will be serving a Spring Tea Luncheon. On the menu will be Khris Lehman's special Cream Corn Chowder and Cream of Cauiflower soup, ham and chicken salad sandwiches, assorted hot and cold teas, and an assortment of desserts. You won't want to miss this. And if you wear your very special Easter hat, you will receive a muffin and cup of tea free!

A lot of has happened since Christmas!...

Pastor JP with Dee

Jerry, our honorary guild member, without him, we would be lost!

.
....We are sorry for being sooo late in posting since our Christmas Bazaar but indeed, a lot has happened! The Guild President,(and your writer) Dee McNally and her husband, George, had a roller coaster ride in December and January. The morning after Thanksgiving, I rushed George to ER. He was in extremely critical condition, suffering congestive heart failure. As I stood at his feet and watched the ER team work over him, I prayed aloud for the Lord to be with his caregivers and to bring him back to me. My prayers were answered. Three days later, he had quadruple by-pass heart surgery on a very sick heart. Now I will remind you that in the midst of all this, our Craft Guild had our Christmas Bazaar on Dec. 5th-6th. I felt it my need to be with the imagineers to support them as needed. I could say "I don't know how I got through it"...but I do. First, the Lord was by my side every moment of every hour. He walked with me and He talked with me and He held my hand. Someone else did that also...our precious Son, George II. He was a tower of strength and love for me, as was his wife, Janet, our "daughter". I felt so loved and protected by them. Gary Werner, came and sat with us while George was having surgery, he saved me from a "melt down". Our loving Pastor JP was there for us, and uplifted George and all of us in prayer and song, more then once. The craft guild imagineers also surrounded me with love and support...and continues to do so. There are no more loving christian sisters. Yes, we are so blessed and it feels sooo good to know the Lord is within us!

George came home in 10 days and continues to improve. He is going to physical therapy and has lost 25 lbs and hopes to lose 20 more. We celebrated our 50 wedding Anniversary by renewing our vows at Bethany in the sweet little chapel. We had originally planned a large celebration, but with what happened, we decided it was "about us"...the ceremony was to me more beautiful and meaning then the 1st one.

Anyway...that's what happened...but there is more exciting news!
We have elected new craft guild officers!

First, I want to tell you that it has been my privilege and honor, to serve as your 1st Bethany Craft Guild President for 4 years. I feel very proud of the accomplishments that we made during this time. However, with all that has happened in the past few months, my primary focus in now with my husband and home. Thank you all for the wonderful love and support that you have given me...and I know that we will all support our incoming officers with the same tenderness and love.

CONGRATUATIONS!...to the following officers who were elected for a 3 year term:

Barbara Saylor, President
Khris Lehman, Vice President
Ruth Helfrich, Teasurer
Carole Alwood, Secretary
Dee McNally, Advisor
Khris Lehman, Marketing & Advertising Coordinator

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas!

.
Well, as you can see, we have been very busy in our workshop! Starting at the top, is a nativity with a lovely gold leaf roof, befitting of our King. Next is a lovely "Let It Snow" wreath. The we have 3 lighted snow scenes. A reindeer scene, a nativity scene with Pine cone lambs and a ceramic "chocolate" Santa! These little scenes would be great alone for someone who does not have a tree, or perhaps in a village scene. Next is a snowman pot with snow bears, followed by a glass ball with snow and flowers inside. And last but not least, we have 2 newly painted kiddies chairs, a red one with a heart and a blue one with a bee!

Oh yes!...There is much more but you'll have to come to the Christmas Bazaar on December 5Th and 6Th to see everything! There was no time to feature any of our "Attic Treasures", but believe me, they are out standing!

We have been making homemade Candy for the past 2 weeks. I took my camera today, but got so busy working that I totally forgot to get pictures for you. But I can make your mouth water by telling you that we will have chocolate peanut butter balls, mint bark, lemon bark, peanut brittle, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate dipped pretzel sticks, molded mint candies and homemade cookies and more!

In addition to our crafts, we will have a Bake Sale and We will be serving lunch from 11 am-1 pm We will be featuring Hamburger vegetable soup and chicken corn soup, made by the master soup maker, George McNally. We will also be serving assorted salad sandwiches, assorted desserts.

This is our biggest and best event yet! Mark your calendar as this will most likely be the last posting until the event...because I'm still creating crafts and this gal is BUSY!!!

Looking forward to seeing you soon!
