Frost on the Pumpkin and Christmas is in the Air!

It's October 2nd and only 84 days until Christmas!  The craft gals are very busy, getting ready for our Christmas Bazaar!  We have our jellies made and just made "Apple Pie in a Jar!"  It's homemade canned apple pie filling,  ready to pour into a crust and top with crust or crumble.  We will have other homemade treats for you as well!

And wait until you smell the lovely homemade soaps and scrubs,
created by Khris Lehman and her helpers.

Look Who came to Visit Dee!

I took 2 pictures, so you  can get an idea of how "big" Santa is.  

He is "stuffed" and 5 feet tall!
He will look lovely on a door, wall, etc.

This craft took me approximately 40 hours to create!

Well. I guess it's August, because my house (Dee's) is beginning 

to look a lot like Christmas!...As I begin to 

 create crafts at home. 

If we didn't, we would not have enough items for our bazaar's. 

 Carolyn is busy knitting at home.

Her items are always beautiful, and sell quickly. 

Donna makes hand crafted greeting cards at home.

Everyone has a special talent that they bring to

craft guild.  And we can't wait to see what we will create!
Our groups is compiled of approximately 12 women.
We are a dedicated group of ladies who enjoy our time together.
And we warmly welcome all who would like to join this
faith and fun loving group .

                   Many of our supplies, are donated by our church
members and friend's, So I usually don't know what I'm going to
create until, I see what supplies are available.   And of course,
we shop for supplies, and use coupons, to keep our costs down.

I decided to make a few Christmas mobile's.

They turned out nicely and will give a bit of holiday spirit

in a small place.  For example, office, or someone confined, etc.

For our first class, we made hanging pine cones and

 reindeer.  Gail brings the pine cones from North Carolina.

Joanne is holding our reindeer.  They are made with soap

and a wash cloth!  How cute!

Here we are starting to work on

our kitchen angels.  They are made from glass 

salt and pepper shakers.  They were introduced last year,

and sold very quickly.  So this year we made 18.  

When they're gone, their  gone!

Faye and Carolyn will tell you that

the most difficult part is the hair.

and it all starts with hot glue.

This gal needs a haircut!

We have already husked, cleaned and
froze corn, for our famous Corn Chowder Soup.
We will also be serving our Camp Soup, which is
hamburger  Vegetable Soup with Pasta, and we will
also have Wild Rice Soup.  These soup's are so good,
you will have a difficult time deciding your favorite.  
That's why we also sell them by the pint and quart.

What Have You Done This Summer?

What Did You Do This Summer?...

 well this writer has been busy! 

 I went to my Granddaughter's beautiful wedding in  

Bethlehem, PA.   And I gained a new Grandson, Bobbie!

Granddaughter Katie, with her groom, Bobby.

 Then My 2 sister's and I took a cruise to the Bahama's.

However, We didn't make it to Nassau , as the ship caught 

on fire in the middle of the ocean, in the middle of the night, 

and the cruise was cancelled and we were flown home.  

No one was hurt, but it was a 

traumatic experience...no more Cruise's for me!

Next Summer, we are staying on land and going to Cape May.

Then I went to my Grandson, Daniel's graduation for 

EMT training.  He hasn't decided his career direction yet 

and has decided to enjoy Summer while he decides 

what his interest is and in  the mean time, he plans to walk the 

Appalachian Trail with a buddy for a couple weeks 

and perhaps travel out of the country.

I went to a lovely Tea House, The Joy Garden, and enjoyed 

a lovely afternoon, with my Sister, Betty and 

2 of my  dearest friends.

Part 2 of our Spring Bazzar Posting!

Here are Lucy, Ruth, Carolyn, Carole, and Donna,

working on creating our Renuzit dolls and Bunnies.

They are refillable!...They're adorable!

This is Deb working on painting clay pots and saucers.

They were then handed painted with flowers designs by
Gail and Dee.

 They will be filled with baby spider plants for Spring and Summer!

with Easter goodies!  Ruth is creating these

as her home craft.

 You will have to look CLOSELY...this is a little jar with

a little hummingbird, flying over her nest!

Khris is busy in the kitchen, leading a

soap making class.  Lucy, Shirley and Carolyn

are taking their lesson very seriously.

We will have so much more for you.

Next week, we will be making an assortment of

homemade jams.

And the following week, (our last week to create),

we will be making candies!

Now a bit about our luncheon menu!

We will be serving a quarter BBQ chicken  with 2 sides of your choice for only $5.00!

We will also serve home made Chicken Corn Soup and Hamburger Vegetable soups.

We will have homemade hamburger BBQ and grilled hot dogs with a trimmings bar.  

Sides that can be ordered, will be macaroni salad, potato salad, baked beans,

and red beet eggs.

  Who could ask for anything more????....well maybe dessert!

We will have a yummy selection of desserts!

All beverages are served with free refills.
